Lighting for streets and pathways.

As our urban environments grow and evolve, we need to make room for more people, other types of traffic, and new technological innovations. At the same time, we need to continue to consider biodiversity and conform to more complex infrastructure. Our focus remains clear: create the best light for people, good visual light comfort, and high-quality lighting solutions for streets and pathways – and about with the right light, in the right place, at the right time.

Optics and lenses

Optics and visual comfort

Lighting makes growing cities vibrant, safe, and secure. We always strive for the highest possible optical quality and visual comfort, even when its dark or raining. We therefore attach great importance to the work on our proprietary AGC lenses – to create optimal light with less glare and better visibility regardless of road type. We use lenses of the same high quality in all outdoor lighting product families.

AI tool guides to the right lens

For every street, pathway and project, standards and regulations show the way in broad strokes. But choosing the right optics can be both time-consuming and complex. In Fagerhult Configure, there is a lens guide where, with the help of AI, you find the best lens for each scenario - in just a few seconds.

Carefully selected materials

All our outdoor luminaires are developed and tested to withstand the Nordic climate. All materials and details are carefully selected to withstand the elements – and to prevent corrosion and unnecessary wear. For us, safety is always a top priority, and we use high-quality LEDs and outdoor drivers. For our outdoor luminaires, we opt for recycled aluminium as much as possible.

Our goal is for our products to consist of at least 80% renewable or recycled materials by 2030.

For a long working life

Outdoor luminaires are durable by design, but they are also exposed to external circumstances and factors beyond our control. Our luminaires are produced in our factory in Sweden, and we are always available if you want advice on how to extend the working life of the products.

Tomorrow’s smart lighting

Smart Lighting makes every luminaire part of a more sustainable future. Through smoother control and optimised outdoor projects for future-proof cities, usage is more efficient with higher visual comfort. At the same time, energy efficiency increases and maintenance becomes simpler. One example is Citygrid, a scalable and flexible system that combines a safe and secure lighting environment with large energy savings and a lower environmental footprint.

Sustainability_Energy_efficiency.png Our goal, by 2030, is that 100% of our lighting solutions should be connected and be controllable in the way that is most efficient in the environment in which they are used.

ZHAGA or NEMA socket

Most of Fagerhult's outdoor luminaires can be supplied with ZHAGA or NEMA sockets. These are used as a basis for IoT technology and enable Smart Lighting. As new technology develops, adjustments and updates can be made directly in the control unit, without major intervention in the luminaire.

Bioinclusive Lighting

Outdoor lighting is essential for humans, but it can adversely affect biodiversity, cause light pollution in the night sky, and contribute to unnecessary energy use. The idea behind Bioinclusive Lighting is to create lighting solutions that meet people’s need for light, in balance with the ecosystem, and for a more sustainable future.
